Our featured Horse of the Month is Clementine!

Our Featured Horse for September is Clementine 

Six-year-old Clementine is currently the youngest in the Horses of Halifax herd. Clementine is a beautiful chestnut quarter horse and was named for her orange colour during our first public naming contest held in 2019. At the time, we didn't tell the public the name she arrived with was Lightning. Her show name is Oh My Darling and she lives up to that name well. She is extremely sweet and easy to handle in the barn. When you ride her, however, it is easy to see why she was once called Lightning. She can be very fast and provides a good challenge for some of our more experienced riders. Her sweet nature helps to put them at ease even if the ride is a challenge. Clementine has participated in training shows at home and some off-property horse shows. This year she moved up to the .9 meter jumper division with some excellent placings. She also made her debut in our Musical Ride this year. Clementine is affectionately known as our serial sunbather and you may have seen her on social media before as she is often caught napping in the sun making for an adorable photo-op.
