Lancers Pony Club

Proud to be one of Canada’s oldest clubs

Lancers is proud to be a branch of the Canadian Pony Club. Pony Club is an internationally recognized organization that promotes best practices in equestrian skills and stable management. Riders follow a curriculum which teaches them a progression of knowledge and skills. We have a regular Pony Club lecture series. Upon joining Lancers, all of our Junior riders automatically become Pony Club members as well.

Pony Clubs offers competitive events where Lancers can compete as a team. These include knowledge based quizzes, Prince Phillip Games, Rally (Dressage, Stadium Jumping and Cross Country), and dressage and show jumping championships. Lancers hosts one of Nova Scotia’s regional quizzes over the winter months.

The Pony Club promotes the education of young people through the provision of instruction and examination in riding, horse care and animal welfare. At camps and rallies children are taught best practice in a fun and safe environment.

Lancers embodies all of the ideals set forth by the Pony Club and Lancers is one of the oldest Pony Clubs in Canada.
