Clinics

Several times a year we try to broaden our learning experience by enlisting the help of clinicians, who are top professionals in their discipline, to come to Lancers and give our riders another perspective on honing their skills!

Clinicians we’ve hosted include:

Erin MacQuarrie

Erin is a dressage coach and rider. She has trained horses from beginning all the way to Grand Prix. Erin has over 100 students competing at various levels including FEI Jr and NAYRC. She is based in NB for training but travels throughout the maritime to teach.

Erin is a phenomenal teacher who can coax the best out of both rider and horse. No matter what level or branch of equestrian discipline you are in, you will benefit from a lesson with Erin. She is always positive and encouraging but always pushes you to do better.

Erin's positivity is infectious and we always value her talent, wisdom, and genuine appreciation for the horses. We are so grateful to her sharing her expertise with us every January for some serious winter motivation. These learning opportunities are so valuable for our riders' long-term equestrian development! Erin not only has the ability to teach us all to get our horses going REALLY well, she has the super-human ability to teach for 11 hours in a row in the bitter cold and remain cheerful and enthusiastic throughout!

Chloe Parker

An accomplished jumping competitor and instructor. Chloe has competed at high level events as well as helping other riders achieve their goals. She spent four years working for Lancer Alum Paul Halpern in Quebec and now works at Brookson Farms in Ontario. Chloe has an incredible work ethic and enjoys working with aspiring jumpers.

Vanessa Lee

Vanessa worked and trained for 10 years with level 3 coach Francis Berger. During this time, she focused on developing young horses as well as young riders in the equitation and jumper divisions. She has trained extensively with level 3 dressage coach and judge Marie-Josée Delisle, which she has been able to adapt to flat work for jumpers. The past 3 years, she has worked and trained alongside Paul Halpern where she has continued her passion developing young jumpers and been an integral part of the coaching team.

Paul Halpern

Grand-Prix trainer Paul Halpern back to Lancers for a clinic this week! Paul started his equestrian career at Lancers, and is happy to help our riders along their path.

Sara Bragg

We are so excited to have Sara Bragg come to Lancers in April to share her knowledge of groundwork with horses! Groundwork helps us open up communication with the horses so we can better understand what they want from us and we can better explain what we are looking for from them. This will help build the skills for better horsemanship and riding.

Danique Henderson

“Danique Henderson is a ground work/ liberty clinician. Learn about connection and softness as you teach your horse to think through pressure to achieve your goals with your horse.”
